Based in Alonte in one of the finest vineyards in the Berici Hills of Vicenza, close to Verona. A small family owned winery rooted in passion and authenticity. Their primary purpose is to create balanced wines while utilizing sustainable, environmentally friendly farming practices. Zai only sources the best grapes from their vineyards, creating high quality wines that express the excellence of the terroir.
All bunches are harvested by hand, laid in small crates, and taken to the cellar, which is a short trip from the vineyards, in an effort to preserve quality to the utmost. Distinctive clay-limestone soils create the perfect conditions for black grape varieties like merlot, syrah, and cabernet, to develop their complex flavors and beautiful intense color.
Their production is meant for the wine enthusiast who looks for excellence, distinctiveness, and authenticity of the small Italian wine producer.
